Chinese Homage in KCNA: A Compilation

A longer document dossier is in the works on the Chinese response to Kim Jong Il’s death, but the North Koreans, in the meantime, have decidedly been kind to the PRC in their various ways in the dispatches of the Korean Central News Agency.

It may be a touch ragged, but the full text of all English-language KCNA dispatches relating to China issued to date since Kim’s death is available as the following pdf.: SinoNK KCNA File No. 1, December 19-26, 2011.

Among the more intriguing clues in the files are appearance of certain Chinese entrepreneurs from Tianjin and Heilongjiang among the mourners, and the fact that our friend Secretary Dai of Dandong made a trip up to the DPRK Consulate in Shenyang this past week.
